The Jira connector pulls in all tickets from your specified projects every 10 minutes. For every Jira issue, the connector indexes the following:
  • Title
  • Description
  • Common fields
  • Comments

Setting Up

Authorization

  1. Jira Cloud Token If you’re using Jira Cloud, follow Atlassian’s guide to generate an Access Token here** **for your account.
  2. Jira Server Token If you’re using Jira Server, follow Atlassian’s guide to generate a Personal Access Token here** . **

Indexing

  1. Open the Jira Connector Navigate to the Admin Panel in ASSIST AI and select the Jira Connector.
  2. Provide Your Credentials
  • For Cloud: provide your Access Token along with the Username it belongs to
  • For Server: provide your Personal Access Token
  1. Choose Projects and Filters For each project you want to index, provide a URL to any page within that project. Optionally, you can specify users whose comments should be excluded from indexing - this is particularly useful for filtering out bot activity.
  2. Start Indexing Click Connect to begin. All Jira tickets from the selected projects will be pulled into ASSIST AI every 10 minutes
