How it works

The GitBook connector imports all documentation content from the GitBook spaces you specify into ASSIST AI.

Setting up

Authorization

  1. Open Developer Settings Go to your GitBook account settings and navigate to the “Developers” section at https://app.gitbook.com/account/developer.
  2. Create an API Token Click “Create new token,” give your token a name, and select the appropriate scopes. Click “Create” to generate the token.
  3. Copy and Store the Token Copy your token and save it somewhere secure - it will not be displayed again.

Indexing

  1. Open the GitBook Connector Go to the Admin Panel and select the GitBook Connector.
  2. Enter Your API Token In Step 1, paste the API token you generated in the Authorization steps above.
  3. Enter Your Space ID and Connect Enter your Space ID, which can be found in the URL of your GitBook space (e.g., https://app.gitbook.com/o/<organization>/s/<space-id>). Click “Connect” to begin importing your GitBook documentation into ASSIST AI.
