How it Works

The File Connector indexes files uploaded directly by users. It currently supports the following file types: .txt, .pdf, .docx, .pptx, .xlsx, .csv, .md, .mdx, .conf, .log, .json, .tsv, .xml, .yml, .yaml, .eml, and .epub. You can also upload a .zip archive containing these file types any unsupported file types within the zip will simply be ignored.

Setting Up

Authorization

  • No external authentication is required.
  • Admins can upload files and make them available to all users.

Indexing

  1. Open the File Connector Go to the Admin Panel and select the File Connector.
  2. Upload Your File Select a supported file or a .zip archive and click Upload to begin indexing your content in ASSIST AI.
