# Highspot

The Highspot connector indexes documents from your Highspot instance. You can choose to index specific spots or all spots where your account has view access and download permissions.

## Setting Up

  **Important:** Highspot's API access requires the **Platform Plus** add-on. Without this, the API features needed for this connector will not be available. Please ensure your organization has purchased the Platform Plus add-on before proceeding.

## Enabling Developer Options

1. **Open Company Settings**
   Log into your Highspot account as an administrator. Click your profile icon in the top right corner, select **Settings**, then choose **Your Company** under Company Settings.
2. **Enable API Access**
   Navigate to **Access and Privacy** and click on **API Access**. Add the users who will need to generate API keys and secrets, and confirm that **API Access for Users** is enabled.

## Generating API Credentials

1. **Open Developer Settings**
   Log in as the user who has been granted API access. Click your profile icon in the top right corner, select **Settings**, and look for the **Developer** tab under User Settings.
2. **Generate an API Key**
   Navigate to the Developer section and generate a new API key. Once generated, you'll receive a key and secret.
3. **Record Your Credentials**
   Make a note of your **API Key**, **Secret**, and **Base URL** — you'll need these during the indexing setup.

## Indexing

**Indexing**

1. **Open the Highspot Connector**
   Navigate to the **Admin Panel** in ASSIST AI and select the **Highspot Connector**.
2. **Enter Your Credentials**
   Provide your **API Key**, **Secret**, and **Base URL** from the steps above.
3. **Choose Indexing Options**
   Select one of the following:

* Enter specific spots you want to index
* Index all spots where your user has view access and download permissions

4. **Start Indexing**
   Click **Connect** to begin indexing your Highspot content.
