# Gmail Overview

## How it works

The Gmail connector imports your emails into ASSIST AI, syncing the latest messages every 10 minutes. Please note that it currently supports plain text emails only.

## Setting Up

  This connector requires a more involved setup process than most.

* If you'd like to set up the connector using **individual account OAuth**, follow the relevant guide. This option does not require a business Google Workspace account.
* If you'd like to set up the connector using a **Service Account**, follow the corresponding guide.
